(incl. GDR air force) can be found here.
The markings of the Nazi and WWII era here,

Some of them had a German-like design.
The markings of today's Luftwaffe are on this
website.
The German Air Force from 1990 until present here.

German Democratic Republic (1949-90)
Luftstreitkräfte/Luftverteidigung (LSK/LV) der Nationalen Volksarmee
(NVA) / Air Force/Air Defence (LSK/LV) of the National People's Army (NVA)
A totally biased pro-GDR website,
but with many datas, photos and a detailed history.
From its history
page I translate the passages dealing about the aircraft markings:
Sept. 1956
German markings (rhombuses in black-red-gold, still without emblem)
are put on the airplanes of the air force (Luftstreitkräfte). The first
MiG-15 are registered for the LSK.
Oct. 1959
Creation of the GDR-marking (peak-standing square in black-red-gold
with the national CoA in the center) based on the law for the national
CoA of the GDR from 30.09.1959 (a drawing here
on the left menue bar. For a (bad) photo click on "138").
22.06.1960
The defence minister, army general W. Stoph, introduces the new aircraft
marking for the NVA planes.
